Clidinium bromide is an anticholinergic drug that is used to treat
peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and enterocolitis. Due to the
bromide component of this ingredient, I suspect that Clidinium bromide
may have antibacterial activity. Are you having issues in validating
a microbial test method for this ingredient? If this ingredient
inhibits the recovery of the bacterial test organisms in your test
method validation protocol, it may not be susceptible to microbial
contamination. I have found that not all ingredients are susceptible
to microbial contamination.
