Dear all,
1. What are the possible bacteria that form yellow colonies on XLD agar? I have got this unknown bacteria that formed yellow colonies on XLD agar, pink colonies on EMB agar and negative on Indole test. Could this be an E.coli?
2. Mannitol Salt agar vs Vogel Johnson Agar. Which one is better for detecting Staph. aureus? On some occasions, I have seen positive growth on MSA (yellow colonies) but negative on VJA and vice verse.
Regards,
Fie
