 Peg,
     The norm that is used in the industry for temp mapping is Type T (SLE)
     thermocouple wire.  The SLE stands for special limits of error that is
     accurate to 0.1 C.  However, the thermocouple wire needs to be
     connected to a data logger such as a Kaye Validator or equivelent.
     And then the wire needs to be calibrated to a NIST traceable RTD.
     This is all industry standard and anything else used may come into
     question.

All,  Can anyone give recommendations on Autoclave probes for
thermomapping
an autoclave.  We have purchased and tried several from Omega and they
are
too variable.  Any suggestions?
