We use R2A for TVC, Endo agar for coliform and Cetrimide for Pseudomonas
aeurginosa test.

We have validated coliform and Pseudomonas testing by filtration of 250 ml
and plating the filter directly onto the selective media.

Saluti,
Francesco Boschi

Oggetto: [PMFLIST] question on media used for Water Bioburden testing

Hello everyone,
Last question for the week I hope:
What is everyone using for media to test their water? Are you using just
one type (R2A, HPC, or TSB) or are you using Mendo for coliform, R2A or
similar for total count and Cetrimide or something similar for Pseudomonas
species?

Thanks for your replies
