I found that BD OFPBL media worked very well as a selective B. cepacia agar medium, when I worked as a clinical microbiologist on cystic fibrosis throat, sputum and tracheal aspirate specimens.

Subject: [PMFLIST] Looking for other R&D Microbiologist

Hello all,
I was hoping to contact some other R&D Microbiologists particularly in
consumer care. I have couple questions as well.

1. Has everyone moved away from spraying down samples and testing supplies
with 70% IPA and wiping down hoods with IPA?

2. Being in R&D I would like to develop some specific pathogen testing for
B. cepacia. Has anyone looked at the cepacia selective differential
medias and tried to get them to work?

Kind regards,
Paul Phillips
