This is why most people (a) use cleaner/DISINFECTANTS in cleanrooms, (b) FILTER
the agents thru 0.2 micron filters before use, and (c) use sterile, disposable
NO, there should be no coliforms or E. coli in your cleaners-- there
should NEVER be ANY organisms at ANY level in ANYTHING introduced into a

I would like to know if the only applicable limits for cleaning agents to use in
cleanrooms are OSHA ones.
Our supplier gave me this limits for the concentrate detergent (non ionic,
R.S.P < 1,0 x 10 4 u.f.c./ml
E. coli < 10 u.f.c./ ml
Coliforms < 10 u.f.c./ml
I think this limits are too high if you compare them with those for purified
water used in the preparation of cleaning solutions (< 100 u.f.c./ml). What`s
your opinion? Is it not possible to manufacture detergents with a lower level of
contamination? Why are E.coli and coliforms allowed?
Are the limits above OSHA ones? (I`m sorry I haven`t OSHA requirements)
